5/11/10
My blogging skills have not improved much.  The weather has been so nice we have been spending some time outside on the porch knitting.  The Classic Elite Knit Along was a great success and good time with 8 participants and 5/8 finished their project by the deadline.  The winner of the basket of goodies was Robin Bronston, affectionately known as the speed knitter.  The new schedule for June is posted and I am really excited about the Weekends sweater by Melissa Leapman.  I am going to make mine in a darker blue with white cable, very nautical!!

Made lots of new friends last week and lots of yarn found new homes.  Come on in to sign up for a door prize on Wednesday or Friday and shop the 40% sale on select yarns.  Huge selection.

So the holidays are here, full force, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are well prepared for Christmas and New Years.  I haven't done much shopping yet, so I will be busy busy.
In the store; I met with a yarn rep and ordered new stuff, new yarn and patterns from Plymouth, Jojoland, Polar Knit an Opal sock yarn.  Everything but the sock yarn will ship right away, so there will be lots of stuff to look at in the next few weeks.
1/29/09  Well January has come and gone, I have met a bunch of new people and things are going well.  More stuff on the way from various distributors.  Not interested in participating in parades on Mardi Gras?  Come join in the Mardi Gras Knit Madness from 10:30-5:00.

4/1/09  Happy April Fool's Day, Purl and Unwind was last night with about a dozen attendees.  Everyone is in agreement that I make good gumbo.  Cherry Tree Hill sock yarn came in yesterday and was fondled lovingly by all in attendance.  Melissa Leapman workshops are just around the corner, and there is still room for sign up.

2/1/09  Yes, I know, I am a bad blogger.  The inventory reduction sale has been a huge success and will continue through this week and end on Saturday, 2/6/10.  The store will be open till 5 pm on 2/6/10 to accomodate last minute shoppers and people looking for the perfect project for Superbowl Sunday.  Geaux Saints!!  I am in finish up mode, I made a pair of fingerless mits out of Blue Sky Melange for a friend of mine, I still owe her a hat.  I am finishing up a pair of socks for my nephew in Berroco Sox.  I hope his foot doesn't get any bigger before I finish the second sock.  On Sunday I got the best idea to do a felted bag in black/gold with fleur de lis, so I came up here yesterday and got yarn, charted the symbol and started.  Hopefully, I will finish it in the next day or so, which pushed everything else to the back burner.  So many hours.....
